Maths Tutors in Dundee
Nine secondary schools in the whole city - one of the smallest secondary systems of any UK city, with everything that follows from that.
Trial lessons are 50% off the normal rate.
Dundee students sit National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Maths, now awarded by Qualifications Scotland rather than the SQA. The city has nine secondary schools, eight of them state, including Harris Academy, Morgan Academy and Grove Academy. With a system that small, senior-phase classes - Advanced Higher especially - can be very small, and a student who falls behind has fewer classmates working at the same level to learn alongside. Math Wizard teaches Scottish qualifications in Dundee, in person and online.
Small Classes Cut Both Ways
A small senior-phase class means a teacher who knows exactly how every student is doing, which is a real advantage. It also means very little redundancy: miss a fortnight and there is no large group of peers at the same stage to catch up with.
For maths in particular, where each topic assumes the last, that is the mechanism by which a strong S4 student becomes a struggling S5 one without anything dramatic having gone wrong.
One Year Per Course, No Second Attempt
Scottish courses run for a single session and are examined once. There is no modular structure to spread the risk and no January sitting to bank a result early.
The practical consequence for a Dundee family is that timing matters more than intensity. Two sessions a week starting in April is a worse plan than one session a week starting in October, and it costs more.

Lessons in Dundee, In Person or Online
In person. A tutor comes to the student's desk across the city. Work is done on iPad and sent afterwards, so the session doubles as revision material later in the year.
Online, same price. In a city this size, online is what makes a genuine choice of maths specialist possible rather than taking whoever is nearest. Zoom or Google Meet, shared notes, identical rate.
Flexible. Hour sessions, movable with 12 hours notice, no contract and no minimum block to buy in advance.
Who teaches your lessons
A maths specialist – someone who teaches maths and no other subject, works from the same worksheets you can read on this site, and follows the same method with every student.
You are told exactly who your tutor is before the first lesson, never after. That lesson is half price, with no contract, so if the match is not right you have lost one half-price hour and nothing else.
